In October of 2020 Hein Farm became our permanent location. We are thrilled to be the stewards of this land that has been farmed by the Hein family for 200 years. We have 20 acres of fields and plan to actively grow on 5 acres in 2021.
We grow using organic methods and are focused on improving soil conditions for better crops and many years of productive farming in the future.
We specialize in growing vegetable plants, cut flowers, herbs, tomatoes including heirlooms, hot peppers, eggplant, okra, beets, kale and greens. We also have plans to grow garlic, pumpkins and raspberries. We are working on creating a cut your own flower garden for 2021.
Our farm hours vary by season. In October we are open Thursdays through Saturdays 10-5, Sundays 11-3. We have an extensive garden center and large indoor farm stand full of CT's best produce and farm products. Our holidays shop will be open in November and December.
Bring the family and wander our farm while you enjoy an ice cream and watch our silly chickens!
We regularly support the Farmington Food Pantry and other fundraising efforts.
In 2021 we have contributed to Farmington Food Pantry, Farmington High School project Graduation, Avon High School Project Graduation and have created an agricultural scholarship.
Thank YOU for supporting LOCAL!
